Book 3: Specific Contracts

Section 934

Verbatim from the Royal Gazette / Office of the Council of State

English translation

Where the drawee has written his acceptance on a bill of exchange but cancels it before the bill leaves his hands, the acceptance is deemed to have been refused. But if the drawee has given written notice to the holder, or to any other party who has signed the bill, that he has accepted it, and afterwards cancels the acceptance, he remains bound according to the terms of his acceptance.
