ถ้าตั๋วแลกเงินมิได้ยื่นเพื่อให้ใช้เงินในวันถึงกำหนดไซร้ ท่านว่าผู้รับรองจะเปลื้องตนให้พ้นจากความรับผิดโดยวางจำนวนเงินที่ค้างชำระตามตั๋วนั้นไว้ก็ได้

English translation
If a bill of exchange is not presented for payment on the day of maturity, the acceptor may relieve himself of liability by depositing the amount outstanding on the bill.
