Municipality (เทศบาล). Thai urban local government divided into three categories — city (Nakhon), town (Mueang) and sub-district (Tambon) municipalities — each headed by an elected mayor. The tesaban delivers municipal services, issues construction permits under the Building Control Act, and maintains local infrastructure. It is the urban counterpart of the rural Aor Bor Tor.
