พินัยกรรมซึ่งได้ทำเป็นแบบเอกสารฝ่ายเมืองหรือเอกสารลับนั้น กรมการอำเภอจะเปิดเผยแก่บุคคลอื่นใดไม่ได้ในระหว่างที่ผู้ทำพินัยกรรมยังมีชีวิตอยู่ และผู้ทำพินัยกรรมจะเรียกให้กรมการอำเภอส่งมอบพินัยกรรมนั้นแก่ตนในเวลาใด ๆ กรมการอำเภอจำต้องส่งมอบให้ถ้าพินัยกรรมนั้นทำเป็นแบบเอกสารฝ่ายเมือง ก่อนส่งมอบพินัยกรรมให้กรมการอำเภอคัดสำเนาพินัยกรรมไว้ แล้วลงลายมือชื่อประทับตราตำแหน่งเป็นสำคัญ สำเนาพินัยกรรมนั้นจะเปิดเผยแก่บุคคลอื่นใดไม่ได้ในระหว่างที่ผู้ทำพินัยกรรมยังมีชีวิตอยู่

English translation
A will made as a public document or as a secret document must not be disclosed by the district officer to any other person during the lifetime of the testator, and the district officer must deliver the will to the testator whenever the testator so requires.
Where the will was made as a public document, the district officer must, before delivering it, make a copy, sign it and affix his official seal. That copy must not be disclosed to any other person during the lifetime of the testator.
