บรรดาบทบัญญัติแห่งกฎหมาย กฎ ระเบียบ ข้อบังคับ ข้อกำหนด ข้อบัญญัติ ประกาศ คำสั่ง หรือมติคณะรัฐมนตรีใดที่อ้างถึงสามี ภริยา หรือสามีภริยา ให้ถือว่าอ้างถึงคู่สมรสที่จดทะเบียนสมรสตามประมวลกฎหมายแพ่งและพาณิชย์ซึ่งแก้ไขเพิ่มเติมโดยพระราชบัญญัตินี้ด้วย ความในวรรคหนึ่งมิให้นำมาใช้บังคับแก่กรณีที่บทบัญญัติแห่งกฎหมาย กฎ ระเบียบ ข้อบังคับ ข้อกำหนด ข้อบัญญัติ ประกาศ คำสั่ง หรือมติคณะรัฐมนตรีกำหนดสิทธิ หน้าที่ สถานะทางกฎหมาย หรือเรื่องอื่นใดที่เกี่ยวข้องกับสามี ภริยา หรือสามีภริยาไว้แตกต่างกัน
