Here is the full cost picture for foreigners setting up a company in Thailand — with real numbers, not “request a quote”.

The Costs Nobody Tells You About
The registration fee is only part of the story. If a foreign director needs a work permit, the company generally needs 2 million THB in registered capital per work permit and must meet Thai employee ratios. Ongoing costs include monthly accounting and annual audits — required for every Thai company, even dormant ones. And structure matters more than price: since the 2026 enforcement campaign, using Thai nominee shareholders is being actively prosecuted. Read our guide to the nominee crackdown and the full company registration guide before you commit to any structure.
คำถามที่พบบ่อย
Can a foreigner own 100% of a Thai company? In most business categories the Foreign Business Act limits foreign ownership to 49%, with exceptions (BOI promotion, US Treaty of Amity, certain activities). This is exactly what to discuss in a consultation before spending anything.
Do I have to deposit the registered capital in a bank? Not always — but if you apply for a work permit, capital requirements are checked. We advise on the right amount for your situation.
What is included in the 45,000 THB fee? Company name reservation, memorandum, registration at the DBD, tax ID, and guidance on capital and shareholder structure.
