อันการรับอาวัลย่อมทำให้กันด้วยเขียนลงในตั๋วเงินนั้นเอง หรือที่ใบประจำต่อในการนี้พึงใช้ถ้อยคำสำนวนว่า “ใช้ได้เป็นอาวัล” หรือสำนวนอื่นใดทำนองเดียวกันนั้น และลงลายมือชื่อผู้รับอาวัลอนึ่ง เพียงแต่ลงลายมือชื่อของผู้รับอาวัลในด้านหน้าแห่งตั๋วเงิน ท่านก็จัดว่าเป็นคำรับอาวัลแล้ว เว้นแต่ในกรณีที่เป็นลายมือชื่อของผู้จ่ายหรือผู้สั่งจ่ายในคำรับอาวัลต้องระบุว่ารับประกันผู้ใด หากมิได้ระบุ ท่านให้ถือว่ารับประกันผู้สั่งจ่าย
