ถ้าในสัญญามีกำหนดเวลาไถ่เกินไปกว่านั้น ท่านให้ลดลงมาเป็นสิบปีและสามปีตามประเภททรัพย์มาตรา ๔๙๖[17] กำหนดเวลาไถ่นั้น อาจทำสัญญาขยายกำหนดเวลาไถ่ได้ แต่กำหนดเวลาไถ่รวมกันทั้งหมด ถ้าเกินกำหนดเวลาตาม
