นายคลังสินค้าต้องหักเงินที่ค้างชำระแก่ตนเนื่องด้วยการเก็บรักษาสินค้านั้นจากจำนวนเงินสุทธิที่ขายทอดตลาดได้ และเมื่อผู้ทรงประทวนสินค้านำประทวนมาเวนคืน ต้องเอาเงินที่เหลือนั้นให้ตามจำนวนที่ค้างชำระแก่เขาถ้ามีเงินเหลือเท่าใด ต้องใช้แก่ผู้รับจำนำคนหลังเมื่อเขาเวนคืนใบรับของคลังสินค้า หรือถ้าไม่มีผู้รับจำนำคนหลังหรือผู้รับจำนำคนหลังได้รับชำระหนี้แล้ว ก็ให้ชำระเงินที่เหลืออยู่นั้นแก่ผู้ทรงใบรับของคลังสินค้า

English translation
The warehouseman must deduct from the net proceeds of the sale by public auction the sums owed to him for the storage of the goods, and, on surrender of the warrant by its holder, must pay him out of the remainder the amount owed to him. If any money then remains, it must be paid to a subsequent pledgee on surrender of the warehouse receipt; or, if there is no subsequent pledgee, or the subsequent pledgee has been paid, the remainder must be paid to the holder of the warehouse receipt.
