An officer who conducts a search under a warrant shall promptly send the record and inventory mentioned in the preceding section, together with the property seized if it can be sent, to the person who issued the warrant or to another officer as specified in the warrant.
In the case of a search made without a warrant by an officer who is not an inquiry official, the record, inventory, and property shall be sent to the inquiry official or to any official who requires them.

Section 104 governs what happens to the search record, inventory, and seized property after a search in Chapter 2 (Search).
