ผู้ปกครองมีได้คราวหนึ่งเพียงคนเดียว แต่ในกรณีมีข้อกำหนดพินัยกรรมให้ตั้งผู้ปกครองหลายคนหรือเมื่อมีผู้ร้องขอโดยมีเหตุผลอันสมควร ให้ศาลมีอำนาจตั้งผู้ปกครองได้ตามจำนวนที่ศาลเห็นว่าจำเป็น ในกรณีที่ตั้งผู้ปกครองหลายคนศาลจะกำหนดให้ผู้ปกครองเหล่านั้นกระทำการร่วมกันหรือกำหนดอำนาจเฉพาะสำหรับคนหนึ่ง ๆ ก็ได้

English translation
There can be only one guardian at the time; however, in case where there is a testamentary desposition directing that several guardians be appointed or there is an application by the person with proper reasons, several guardians may be appointed as the Court considers necessary. In case several guardians are appointed, the Court may order the guardians to act either jointly or in accordance with the power specially conferred upon each of them.
