เมื่อเอาของออกขายทอดตลาดแล้วได้เงินจำนวนสุทธิเท่าใด ให้ผู้ขนส่งหักเอาไว้เป็นเงินค่าระวางพาหนะและค่าอุปกรณ์ ถ้าและยังมีเงินเหลืออยู่อีกเท่าใดต้องส่งมอบให้แก่บุคคลผู้ควรที่จะได้เงินนั้นโดยพลัน

English translation
Out of the net proceeds of a sale by public auction, the carrier retains the freight and its accessories; any surplus must be handed over without delay to the person entitled to it.
