ในกรณีตั๋วเงินภายในประเทศ ถ้าผู้จ่ายบันทึกลงไว้ในตั๋วแลกเงินเป็นข้อความบอกปัดไม่รับรองหรือไม่ยอมใช้เงิน ทั้งลงวันที่บอกปัดลงลายมือชื่อไว้ด้วยแล้ว ท่านว่าคำคัดค้านนั้นก็เป็นอันไม่จำเป็นต้องทำ และผู้ทรงต้องส่งคำบอกกล่าวขาดความเชื่อถือไปยังบุคคลซึ่งตนจำนงจะไล่เบี้ยภายในสี่วันต่อจากวันเขาบอกปัดไม่รับรองนั้น

English translation
In the case of an inland bill, if the drawee writes on the bill of exchange a statement refusing acceptance or payment, with the date of the refusal and his signature, no protest is necessary; and the holder must send notice of dishonour to the person against whom he intends to exercise recourse within four days from the date of that refusal.
