The Supreme Court in Dika 889/2569 held that a final criminal judgment from a foreign court does pas bar a Thai prosecution for the same acts: section 39(4) of the Criminal Procedure Code protects only judgments of Thai courts. A defendant already convicted in Bahrain — with a suspended one-year sentence — received 18 months from the Thai courts for the same forgeries.
