Si plusieurs biens meubles appartenant à différentes personnes sont réunis de telle sorte qu'ils en deviennent des parties indissociables, ces personnes deviennent copropriétaires du bien composite, la part de chacune étant proportionnelle à la valeur de son bien au moment de sa réunion. Si l'un des biens peut être considéré comme le bien principal, son propriétaire devient le seul propriétaire du bien composite, mais il doit rembourser la valeur des autres biens à leurs propriétaires respectifs.
