สังหาริมทรัพย์มีค่าซึ่งซ่อนหรือฝังไว้นั้น ถ้ามีผู้เก็บได้โดยพฤติการณ์ซึ่งไม่มีผู้ใดสามารถอ้างว่าเป็นเจ้าของได้ ให้กรรมสิทธิ์ตกเป็นของแผ่นดิน ผู้เก็บได้ต้องส่งมอบทรัพย์นั้นแก่เจ้าพนักงานตำรวจหรือพนักงานเจ้าหน้าที่อื่น แล้วมีสิทธิจะได้รับรางวัลหนึ่งในสามแห่งค่าทรัพย์นั้น

Lorsqu'un bien meuble de valeur, caché ou enterré, est retrouvé dans des circonstances telles que nul ne peut en revendiquer la propriété, celle-ci revient à l'État. Le découvreur est tenu de le remettre à la police ou à toute autre autorité compétente, auquel cas il a droit à une récompense équivalant à un tiers de sa valeur.
