ถ้าหย่าขาดจากกันเพราะเหตุวิกลจริตตามมาตรา ๑๕๑๖ (๗) หรือเพราะเหตุเป็นโรคติดต่ออย่างร้ายแรงตามมาตรา ๑๕๑๖ (๙) คู่สมรสอีกฝ่ายหนึ่งต้องออกค่าเลี้ยงชีพให้แก่ฝ่ายที่วิกลจริตหรือฝ่ายที่เป็นโรคติดต่อนั้นโดยคำนวณค่าเลี้ยงชีพอนุโลมตามมาตรา ๑๕๒๖

Si un divorce est prononcé pour cause de folie en vertu de l'article 1516 (7) ou pour cause de maladie contagieuse et dangereuse en vertu de l'article 1516 (9), l'autre conjoint doit fournir une allocation de subsistance au conjoint qui est fou ou qui souffre de la maladie, conformément à l'article 1526, mutatis mutandis.
