Lorsque la chose qui fait l'objet d'une obligation est décrite uniquement en nature, si sa qualité ne peut être déterminée par la nature de l'acte juridique ou par l'intention des parties, le débiteur doit livrer une chose de qualité moyenne. Si le débiteur a accompli toutes les formalités requises pour la livraison de cette chose, ou s'il a, avec le consentement du créancier, désigné une chose à livrer, cette chose devient dès lors l'objet de l'obligation.
