When several general preferential rights conflict, those preferential rights shall take effect in the order in which they are ranked in Section 253.
When a general preferential right conflicts with a special preferential right, the special preferential right takes precedence; but a preferential right in respect of expenses incurred for the common benefit takes precedence, as regards the exercise of that right, against all of the creditors who have benefited from it.
