อันเหตุที่ทำให้สัญญาตัวแทนระงับสิ้นไปนั้นจะเกิดแต่ตัวการหรือตัวแทนก็ตาม ท่านห้ามมิให้ยกขึ้นเป็นข้อต่อสู้คู่สัญญาอีกฝ่ายหนึ่ง จนกว่าจะได้บอกกล่าวเหตุนั้น ๆ ไปยังคู่สัญญาฝ่ายนั้นแล้ว หรือจนกว่าคู่สัญญาฝ่ายนั้นจะได้ทราบเหตุแล้ว
