ผู้สั่งจ่ายตั๋วแลกเงินและผู้สลักหลังคนใด ๆ ก็ดี จะจดข้อกำหนดซึ่งจะกล่าวต่อไปนี้ลงไว้ชัดแจ้งในตั๋วนั้นก็ได้ คือ(๑) ข้อกำหนดลบล้างหรือจำกัดความรับผิดของตนเองต่อผู้ทรงตั๋วเงิน(๒) ข้อกำหนดยอมลดละให้แก่ผู้ทรงตั๋วเงินซึ่งหน้าที่ทั้งหลายอันผู้ทรงจะพึงต้องมีแก่ตนบางอย่างหรือทั้งหมด

The drawer of a bill of exchange, and any endorser, may insert in the bill an express stipulation: (1) negativing or limiting his own liability to the holder; (2) waiving, as regards the holder, some or all of the duties owed to him.
