Il est permis à une personne de faire paître son bétail sur le terrain non clôturé d'autrui, ou de le traverser, pour l'abreuver ; elle peut également puiser de l'eau à un puits ou un abreuvoir situé sur ce terrain, à condition toutefois qu'il ne s'agisse pas d'une plantation, d'un terrain non cultivé, ensemencé ou couvert de récoltes. Le propriétaire peut cependant interdire une telle pratique.
