ให้ศาลสั่งถอนผู้ปกครองในกรณีดังต่อไปนี้ (๑) ผู้ปกครองละเลยไม่กระทำการตามหน้าที่ (๒) ผู้ปกครองประมาทเลินเล่ออย่างร้ายแรงในหน้าที่ (๓) ผู้ปกครองใช้อำนาจหน้าที่โดยมิชอบ (๔) ผู้ปกครองประพฤติมิชอบซึ่งไม่สมควรแก่หน้าที่ (๕) ผู้ปกครองหย่อนความสามารถในหน้าที่จนน่าจะเป็นอันตรายแก่ประโยชน์ของผู้อยู่ในปกครอง (๖) มีกรณีดังบัญญัติไว้ในมาตรา ๑๕๘๗ (๓) (๔) หรือ (๕)

English translation
The court shall remove a guardian in the following cases:
(1) the guardian neglects to perform their duties;
(2) the guardian is grossly negligent in the performance of their duties;
(3) the guardian exercises their powers improperly;
(4) the guardian is guilty of misconduct unbecoming the office;
(5) the guardian has become so far incapable of performing their duties that the interests of the ward are likely to be endangered;
(6) any case provided for in Section 1587 (3), (4) or (5) arises.
