การให้สิทธิอันมีหนังสือตราสารเป็นสำคัญนั้น ถ้ามิได้ส่งมอบตราสารให้แก่ผู้รับ และมิได้มีหนังสือบอกกล่าวแก่ลูกหนี้แห่งสิทธินั้น ท่านว่าการให้ย่อมไม่สมบูรณ์

If a right represented by a written instrument is given, the gift is not valid if such instrument is not delivered to the donee and no written notice of the gift is given to the debtor of the right.
