Where a loss occurs through a risk insured against, the insured or the beneficiary must, on becoming aware of it, notify the insurer without delay.
Where the preceding paragraph is not complied with, the insurer may claim compensation for any damage resulting from the failure, unless the other party proves that compliance was impossible.
