คู่สัญญาฝ่ายซึ่งเข้าถือเอาและใช้เงินตามตั๋วแลกเงิน อาจจะเรียกเอาเงินใช้จากคู่สัญญาทั้งหลายซึ่งต้องรับผิดต่อตนได้ คือ (๑) เงินเต็มจำนวนซึ่งตนได้ใช้ไป (๒) ดอกเบี้ยในจำนวนเงินนั้น คิดอัตราร้อยละห้าต่อปีนับแต่วันที่ได้ใช้เงินไป (๓) ค่าใช้จ่ายต่าง ๆ อันตนต้องออกไป (๔) ค่าชักส่วนลดจากต้นเงินจำนวนในตั๋วแลกเงินตามที่กำหนดไว้ในมาตรา ๙๖๘ อนุมาตรา (๔)

English translation
A party who has taken up and paid a bill of exchange may recover from the parties liable to him: (1) the entire sum which he has paid; (2) interest on that sum at the rate of five per cent per year from the date of payment; (3) the expenses which he has incurred; (4) a commission on the principal sum of the bill as provided in Section 968(4).
