ในกรณีมีเหตุสำคัญอันเกิดแก่ผู้หมั้น ทำให้ผู้รับหมั้นไม่สมควรสมรสกับผู้หมั้นนั้น ผู้รับหมั้นมีสิทธิบอกเลิกสัญญาหมั้นได้โดยมิต้องคืนของหมั้นแก่ผู้หมั้น

English translation
Where there is a material fact concerning the betrothing party which makes it improper for the betrothed party to marry that betrothing party, the betrothed party is entitled to renounce the betrothal agreement without returning the khongman to the betrothing party.
