อันวันถึงกำหนดของตั๋วแลกเงินนั้น ท่านว่าย่อมเป็นอย่างใดอย่างหนึ่งดังกล่าวต่อไปนี้ คือ(๑) ในวันใดวันหนึ่งที่กำหนดไว้ หรือ(๒) เมื่อสิ้นระยะเวลาอันกำหนดไว้นับแต่วันที่ลงในตั๋วนั้น หรือ(๓) เมื่อทวงถาม หรือเมื่อได้เห็น หรือ(๔) เมื่อสิ้นระยะเวลาอันกำหนดไว้นับแต่ได้เห็น

The maturity of a bill of exchange is one of the following: (1) on a fixed day; (2) at the expiry of a period fixed from the date of the bill; (3) on demand or at sight; (4) at the expiry of a period fixed after sight.
