ถ้าปรากฏว่าผู้ใช้อำนาจปกครองหรือผู้ปกครองตามมาตรา ๑๕๒๐ ประพฤติตนไม่สมควร หรือภายหลังพฤติการณ์ได้เปลี่ยนแปลงไป ศาลมีอำนาจสั่งเปลี่ยนตัวผู้ใช้อำนาจปกครองหรือผู้ปกครองโดยคำนึงถึงความผาสุกและประโยชน์ของบุตรเป็นสำคัญ

S'il apparaît que la personne exerçant le pouvoir parental du tuteur en vertu de l'article 1520 se comporte de manière inappropriée ou qu'il y a un changement de circonstances après la nomination, le tribunal a le pouvoir de rendre une ordonnance nommant un nouveau tuteur en tenant compte du bonheur et de l'intérêt de l'enfant.
