ทรัพย์สินซึ่งมิได้นำฝากบอกราคาชัดแจ้งนั้น เมื่อพบเห็นว่าสูญหายหรือบุบสลายขึ้น คนเดินทางหรือแขกอาศัยต้องแจ้งความนั้นต่อเจ้าสำนักโรงแรม โฮเต็ล หรือสถานที่เช่นนั้นทันที มิฉะนั้นท่านว่าเจ้าสำนักย่อมพ้นจากความรับผิดดังบัญญัติไว้ในมาตรา ๖๗๔ และ ๖๗๕
