คู่หมั้นฝ่ายหนึ่งอาจเรียกค่าทดแทนจากผู้ซึ่งได้ร่วมประเวณีกับคู่หมั้นของตน หรือผู้ซึ่งกระทำกับคู่หมั้นของตนเพื่อสนองความใคร่ของผู้นั้นหรือคู่หมั้นของตน โดยรู้หรือควรจะรู้ถึงการหมั้นนั้น เมื่อได้บอกเลิกสัญญาหมั้นแล้วตามมาตรา ๑๔๔๒ หรือมาตรา ๑๔๔๓ แล้วแต่กรณี

English translation
One of the betrothed parties may claim compensation from a person who has had sexual intercourse with their betrothed, or who has done an act with their betrothed to gratify the sexual desire of that person or of the betrothed, knowing or having reason to know of the betrothal, once the betrothal agreement has been renounced under Section 1442 or Section 1443, as the case may be.
