Whoever, being an official holding a position in the administration of justice, demands, accepts, or agrees to accept property or any other benefit for himself or another person as a reward for performing or not performing any act in his position, whether such act is or is not within the scope of his duties, shall be punished with imprisonment of five to twenty years or imprisonment for life, and a fine of one hundred thousand to four hundred thousand Baht, or death.
