Whoever compels another person to do or not to do any act, or to submit to any act, by intimidating such person with injury to life, body, liberty, reputation or property of such person or of another person, or by using violence, to the extent that such person does or does not do such act or submits to such act, shall be punished with imprisonment not exceeding three years or fined not exceeding sixty thousand Baht, or both.
If the offence under paragraph one is committed with a weapon, or by five or more persons acting jointly, or for the purpose of compelling the person to execute, revoke, damage or destroy any document of right, the offender shall be punished with imprisonment not exceeding five years or fined not exceeding one hundred thousand Baht, or both.
If committed by claiming the power of a secret society or criminal gang, the offender shall be punished with imprisonment of one to seven years and fined of twenty thousand to one hundred and forty thousand Baht.
