When it appears to the Court that, within the period determined by the Court under Section 56, the person sentenced has committed an offence which is not an offence committed by negligence or a petty offence, and the Court sentences such person to imprisonment for such offence, the Court which tries the subsequent case shall also determine the punishment which was suspended, or enforce the punishment which was suspended, in the previous case, unless the imprisonment in the subsequent case is also suspended.
If, within the period determined by the Court under Section 56, the person sentenced has not committed such an offence, such person shall be released from the punishment which was determined or the punishment which was suspended.
