Section 284/1 is a brand-new provision introduced by Amendment Act No. 30 (B.E. 2568/2025), creating Thailand's first dedicated sexual harassment offense in the Criminal Code. Previously, sexual harassment could only be prosecuted under the broader Section 397 (harassment/annoyance).

Basic sexual harassment: up to 1 year/20,000 Baht. Public or online harassment: up to 3 years/60,000 Baht. Against children under 15: up to 5 years/100,000 Baht.
